Intake Senior

Careers.

Intake Senior is small and selective. We don’t mass-hire. We don’t use offshore intake teams. Every person on this team has worked inside senior living, care coordination, or admissions and decided they wanted to do this job the right way — without the placement-volume incentives that warp the rest of the industry.

Who we look for

  • Senior living admissions / marketing experience. You’ve worked at an assisted living community, memory care unit, or skilled nursing facility. You know what a level-of-care assessment is, you’ve sat in care planning meetings, and you’ve filled out a Medicaid waiver application.
  • Geriatric care management background. You’ve worked as a care manager, social worker, or discharge planner — preferably in a hospital, hospice, or community setting in Maryland or Virginia.
  • Long-term care insurance or VA benefits expertise. You know how to file a trigger, what the paperwork actually looks like, and how to coach a family through it without making them feel small.
  • A real network locally. You can name the executive directors at the communities you’d recommend, and you’ve toured them in the last twelve months.
  • A bias toward honest answers. You’ll tell a family the right answer is to stay home, even when it’s not the answer that pays. That’s the whole job.

What you’ll do

Read every diagnostic personally. Call the family within 48 hours. Run a real 30-minute conversation that gets to the actual situation. Build a written plan with cost ranges, funding paths, and three to five vetted next steps. Tour the communities we recommend at least quarterly. When a family moves, follow up at 30 and 90 days to make sure the placement is holding.

What we offer

A senior care advisor business that’s built around the family, not the placement fee. Compensation is structured so we’re neutral on outcome — stay-home plans pay the same as community placements pay the same as in-home care plans. Flexible hours within the constraints of advisor coverage. Continuing education budget. A small, professional team that knows what they’re doing.

How to introduce yourself

We’re not running an active hiring round right now, but we read every introduction. Email admin@intakesenior.com with a short note about your background, the senior living communities or hospitals you’ve worked at, the metro you’re in, and what kind of role you’re looking for. No formal cover letter required. A two-paragraph email tells us more than a resume.
